Our age lives for the present. Christians look forward to the future. Our age exalts youth. God calls us to respect the elderly. Our age idolizes health. The Bible says that despite illness now, we will have glorified bodies in the new heavens and the new earth. Our age fears death. For Christians, it is the entrance to the immediate presence of Christ

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

It is great that this book has been written and the subtitle anticipating eternity reminds us all that we are not just of this earth but we, as Christians, anticipate a wonderful future with Christ. The book is a compilation of writings, hymns, Bible readings and poetry which face such issues as heaven, illness, pain, ageing and death itself. It does not evade the issues but meets them face to face with confidence and assurance. It should be commented that the writings are predominantly old and there are very few modern authors included, do not be fooled by the modern cover. The book could be read privately or be used to read aloud to someone who needs a bit of encouragement during a difficult time.
