This is an interesting and short book, written by a doctor of medicine it takes the various miracles of Jesus and then looks at the modern explanations and ways of treating them, whilst at the end of each one turning around and saying that Doctor Jesus needed none of this knowledge or treatment because he cured them by faith, by miraculous intervention and that kind of healing can still happen. The Divine Healer can and does still heal and this in our modern times of medicine is not something we should overlook or ignore, we should not be as atheists, we should still believe in the God of Healing and have faith - especially when modern medicine does not have all the answers. However what I think I most liked about this book was to be found in the end chapters when Dr Peprah-Gyamfi rails against the chicanery of some faith healers and the hyping of some Healing Ministries - as he so rightly points out when Doctor Jesus healed it was not a big performance, it was not for money, when Peter and the others mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles were performing miracles and healings it was again not for money or done for show in a performance orientated way - it was done as acts of kindness, mercy and grace and this is still how it should be. For anyone interested in the Healing Ministries then this is indeed an interesting little book that I think would well be worth reading for a view on the possibility of how there can be an integration between healing and modern medicine for those working in the field of Medicine.
