    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Words of Benediction and Blessing at the close of worship are so important. Speaking personally as one who often leads services, I’m sure we should never just mumble blessings or treat them as a minor afterthought! They are, after all, the final words of a service for the congregation to hold onto. Nick Aiken and Alan Elkins have done us a great favour by compiling blessings for the seasons of the church’s year and for many other occasions (plenty for us to choose from), some biblical, but others from a variety of sources, including these two authors themselves. They also offer guidelines for writing our own blessings. Worship can only be the better for using this book. Inexpensive, and easy to read, it should be in every worship leader’s library. Give it as a present to your church’s worship leader(s), if she/he/they won’t get round to buying it for themselves!
