This is an enlarged edition of a short book that was first published in 1975. It is expanded by the inclusion of a 1995 interview from Third Way Magazine between Roy McCloughrey and John Stott, that looks further at the idea of Balanced Christianity as had been put forward in the book.
What is so interesting about this book, and why it still is being published and reflected on, is that the issue Stott discusses in 'Balanced Christianity' remains—The issue of polarisation within churches and polarisation between christian camps, for exapmle, liberals and fundamentalists.
He does well here to point out that there are so many points of common agreement that to be so polarised on the small issues is to do a diservice to evangelical christianity, and asks us to consdier how better we could come together into a balanced christianity.
A good book, and worth reading.
