'Women can be powerful, a tremendous asset or a huge liability.' With a growing current trend and tendency to failure it is good for all of us to look at our actions and motives. This is an easy to read book which focuses on women in the Bible though it is not exclusively biblical. Wendy has used each of her chosen characters to look deeper into women's reason and motivation. She also uses the subjects to look at very different roles of women, business women, grandmothers, devious women, pioneers and as Greg Haslam says in his foreword 'the good the bad and the ugly'. She sometimes, and cleverly, uses the bible character to open up very current issues which can and do arise in our lives and our churches. This is both a wise and an encouraging book but be warned there will be some moments of clear revelation, 'this may be you' and 'something in your life may need changing', but that is what God is about.
