Mainly aimed at women, the book is subtitled, Finding a Faith that is Stronger than all my Fears. Like Paul in Philippians, Micca Campbell does not claim to have already reached her goal of completely fearless faith but, having come some way in the right direction, shares with us the secrets of her progress thus far. Fears of disaster, rejection, personal failure, the unknown, the future of our children, and putting our trust in others are all explored with examples drawn from her own eventful family life and from elsewhere. The book culminates in a discussion of how to cultivate a healthy, respectful fear of God and how abiding in His presence deals with the unhealthy fears.
She is very confident that her approach will work for every reader – in my experience exposure to an abundance of Scripture is not an answer in itself, even when packaged under a snappy heading like, “Know it: Stow it: Show it”! Still there is a lot of good, encouraging material in here and it is well-worth a read.
