      Product Description

The WORD of GOD is truly amazing. We are told that the Word never changes; because it endures forever (Isaiah 40:8) yet its revelations are new every day and every time we study the Word. And this is because according to Hebrews 4:12, it is alive and active "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." NIV, That is why the same verse of scripture can minister to you differently, each time you read it. This has been my experience since after giving my life to Christ, I started reading and studying the Word of God. Sometimes, it as if I have not never come across that particular Bible passage before A while ago I decided to study the stories of some women in the Bible, who against all odds, did things that were extraordinary and exemplary in their generations. I discovered in my study, new insights from their goodly and Godly lifestyles. The title of this book was forged out of the revelation and inspiration I got from the lives of four record-breaking, courageous women, who despite the challenges in their lives, despite the contrary wind blowing against them, despite being left alone in difficult situations, despite all odds, they rose up to the situations, they stood up and faced it head-on. These women dared to stand up, show up, speak up and step up in the face of adversities, opportunities and challenges. They refused to be intimidated or limited, they refused to throw in the towel, they refused to be oppressed, depressed, or suppressed. D.A.R.E. is an acronym I formed out of the first letter of the names of these incredible women. Deborah, Abigail, Ruth and Esther. It is no coincidence that the definition of the word "dare" is in tandem with the characteristics of these amazing women. To dare, is to have the necessary courage or boldness for something; to have the boldness to try; venture; and take calculated risks. It means to meet defiantly; face courageously, to challenge or provoke (a person) into a demonstration of courage. This book is written around these amazing four women; with emphasis on the traits and characteristics that made them women with worth far above rubies, exemplary and worthy of emulation. There are other women in the Bible that are worthy of note and emulation; so, this is by no means an exhaustive list. But the characters of these women are meant for us to perform a reality check with our present circumstances and situations, and align ourselves accordingly In the first part of this book, we shall be meeting with these amazing selfless women that exhibited a high degree of faith in God and were all instrumental in enhancing the living conditions of their people. Deborah, Abigail, Ruth and Esther; we will look at lessons we could learn from them, while in the second part we shall be honing down on a couple of characteristics they all shared and comparing them with the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31.
