David Peterson, author of ‘Engaging with God’, has finally put pen to paper again to empower the church once again with his long-awaited follow-up – ‘Encountering God Together’.
Standing on the theological and practical groundwork of his first book, David lays the blueprints for a biblically enhanced church experience. These guidelines provide a biblical, practical and insightful guide to help everyone involved in planning and leading church services. This highly readable and stimulating book covers a broad range of topics, including:
• Corporate Prayer
• Scripture Reading
• Preaching
• The Lord’s Supper
• The Spirit’s Role
• Bodily Expression
• Liturgy
• Evangelism
• Baptism
• Emotions
At the end of each chapter are questions and reflections to encourage group discussion. ‘Encountering God Together’ could easily be used as a training or strengthening resource for worship groups, ministry leaders, church leaders and others involved in church leadership.
Church leaders, stewards, preachers, ministry leaders and musicians will all benefit from David’s biblical knowledge and practical wisdom.
