With surprising statistics, scriptural insight, reflection and real-life stories, 'Enough' gently leads you deeper into important issues facing responsible Christians in a fresh and engaging conversation. Through study, discussion, prayer, questions and answers, the five week study course shows how you can live a fulfilled and happy life with less, bless others and fully experience God’s promises in the process.

The five week group study includes:

week 1: Enough Is Enough
week 2: More Than Enough
week 3: Less Than Enough
week 4: Moving Toward Enough
week 5: Less Is More

Each week follows a consistent plan to keep your study group comfortable and focused by knowing what to expect. The sessions open with a wide selection of discussion starters and questions ensuring you can find something relevant, and tailor it to your group. Next comes a Bible passage with a recommended ‘commit to memory’ verse increasing the Bible knowledge in the group. Prayer subjects follow and a brief ‘Count Your Blessings’ to reflect in gratitude on God’s provision – great and small.

The course is printed up in the US, so does use dollars as its material benchmark, but this is easily converted to pounds or euros for study on this side of the Atlantic. The course is short enough and deep enough to make a welcome change to more inward Bible looking studies, and ideal for Christians preparing to face the weeks leading up to the consumption bonanza of the festive season.

This provocative, mind-changing study challenges you to find the peace and contentment that comes through living with what you have, and discover what it means to have true, practical compassion for those in need.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

This is a book that challenges, informs, convicts and opens the door to letting go of the culture of want and need (need in the sense of want not real need!) that we are surrounded with and instead challenges us to accept and want having enough, just enough and only enough for our needs This book asks a lot, but then so does the big book – the Bible! As Will Davis Jr. so rightly points out, the Bible is constantly challenging the concept of greed and asks us to share with others the extra we have. Christ, challenged the rich young man to give away his wealth, and when sending his disciples out said ‘take nothing more than you need’... when we can learn to accept this then we can rightly find contentment in our lives and in turn we can help others and increase the wealth for not only our neighbours but the world at large – we will have enough to share and go around, but it has to start with us accepting Enough is enough. A powerful and challenging book and certainly one for anyone interested in the new monastic movement, or who just realises that the culture of more we are surrounded with is wrong. Worthy of being read by almost everyone out there – it’s surprising how much we overlook what we have, especially in these tough economic times when we are so sure we don’t have much! At the end of every chapter you will find three questions for further reflection making this a useful book for group study too.
