Though God should be our ultimate value in life, we place many earthly things above Him. The story of the divided kingdom reveals the many warnings God’s people received—warnings to seek repentance from their sinful, idolatrous ways and turn to God. Through this chapter of the Bible's story, your preschoolers and kids will find that as we repent of our sin, we are filled with the truth that we were made in the image of God.

Big Picture Cards encourage families to continue learning at home throughout the week. Distribute these cards at the beginning of each quarter or after every session and families will be equipped to help kids understand how the Bible events they are learning fit into the big picture of God's story.
