I personally found this to be an uninspiring read with little real direction or concrete suggestions. It's vagueness and "keep doing what you're doing but maybe try this" approach didn't suit me and certainly didn't echo Jesus' call to "leave your nets and follow me." I suspect there are better Christian "self-help" books available.
