      Product Description

IF YOU CAN HELP ONE CHILD OR ONE PERSON BY SHARING YOUR STORY-DO IT. -Hugh "Sonny" Peery

Hughisms is a collection of life lessons shared through the wit and wisdom of Hugh "Sonny" Peery, the author's father. Hugh shared these truths, which are ultimately rooted in scripture, with family, friends, students, and others throughout his lifetime, offering hope, light, and truth to all who sought it.

Hugh "Sonny" Peery was one of America's respected agriculture teachers and farmers. He dedicated almost 40 years of his life to his students-advising them from time to time through his Hughisms and always through his actions. He was awarded the Honorary Future Farmers of America (FFA) degree for his dedicated service to FFA and agriculture education on a national level. He was a devoted husband to Carolyn, and together they raised four children on their family farm. He taught his children about the journey of life and how to trust God in all things.

Hughisms will make you laugh a little, ponder things that matter, and be encouraged for life.

      - ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Regina Peery is an author, speaker, educator, and tireless advocate for suicide prevention. She was a finalist for Tennessee Teacher of the Year and winner of the National White-Reinhardt Award. Regina was inspired to write this book so that others might be blessed and encouraged, as she has been, by these Hughisms-and to put one of her favorite Hughisms into practice: "If you can help one person by sharing your story-do it." Part of the proceeds from this book will be donated to Cowboy Up Inc., a non-profit dedicated to suicide prevention through education and a message of hope. Visit www.tncowboy.com to learn more.
