Born in Ashland, Kentucky, he was educated at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv) and Oxford University (DPhil).       Is this just a repackaged version of RT Kendall's book - Out of the Comfort Zone? It was subtitled "Your God is too nice"
