The Anointing: You Need It!

Jesus Christ went into heaven, but shortly afterward He sent His Spirit back to this world. That Spirit, His Spirit, is power. His plan is for that Spirit to rest within every believer and that every believer use this power to receive His instruction. That power is also called "anointing". Put simply, God's Holy Spirit comes upon people so that His work may be fulfilled; also known as being filled with the Spirit.

The works of the Spirit are an outward expression of the power given to us because of an inward conversion. This is available to us because of our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, not because we've done anything to earn Him. It is important for you to understand that this Spirit is the exact same Spirit that Jesus possessed while being here on Earth and that raised Him from the dead.

You too have the capability of possessing many of God's blessings. You simply must learn to make yourself available for His use. By making yourself aware of what is possible, you will understand God's endowments when you're blessed with them. These particulars of God's anointing regarding the who, what, where, when, why, and how will be discussed all throughout this book. To begin, all you have to do is believe and open yourself up to God.
