      Product Description

"Sam Whatley's vignettes show the intersection of our lives with eternity. Some are spiritual perspectives on animals, such as alligators, woodpeckers, squirrels, and snakes. Some are profound thoughts to ponder. These stories make us aware that each moment of our existence echoes down the long halls of eternity."

-Alan Sewell, novelist, author, and book reviewer

"This book of captivating anecdotes is an adventure. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking to draw closer to the triune God, who is full of surprises, beauty, and wonder."

-Betsy Hake, founder and director of Jericho Ministries, Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Sam Whatley's articles have appeared in newspapers, magazines, and books on various subjects, but his favorite subject remains the Christian life as expressed in his "Pondering the Journey" column in River Regions Journey. This book is the third collection of these columns.

Sam is retired from both the U.S. Postal Service and the State of Alabama. He holds degrees from Troy University and the University of Alabama. Sam and his wife, Debi, have three grown children and live in Montgomery, Alabama. Sam's hobbies include teaching children to play chess and researching ancient history.
