    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

One of the most iconic of Victorian paintings is The Light of the World by William Holman Hunt, which shows Christ standing at a firmly closed door and draws on the passage from Revelation ‘Behold I stand at the door and knock’. This book by Joyce Rupp also uses the door as a metaphor by suggesting that the ‘door’ offered her an entry to her journey of faith and invites the reader to spend six weeks entering various doors of their own in order to discover their own self, by self exploration. The book is divided into weeks and days; it offers on each day an introduction, then a meditation, prayer and verse from Scripture. This book is a guide for anyone wishing to explore their own self and takes the reader on a journey which gives them the opportunity to examine their own spiritual awareness and in doing so provides the chance of developing their own goodness and fulfilment.
