Through my work as a GP, I have met many women with unplanned pregnancies. I have always tried to treat them with care and compassion, whether they decided to keep the baby or not, because the Bible teaches that all are valuable in God's sight – the unborn child; the single, teenage mum; as well as those who have had abortions. It is vital, then, that on this contentious issue we '[speak] the truth in love' (Eph 4.15), and thus remind people of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who was 'full of grace and truth' (Jn 1.14)" (Dr Philip Mullan).
