Airports are in chaos as a terror plot is uncovered. Suicide bombers bring cities to a standstill. Schoolchildren are massacred in their classrooms.
The rules of war are changing. Across the globe, terror strategies strike cold fear into the hearts of ordinary citizens, as innocent people become legitimate targets for bloodshed. George Bush and Tony Blair have launched their counter-attack, but for many the 'war on terror' throws up troubling questions:

• Who really has right on their side?
• How far should we go in protecting innocents?
• How can ordinary Christians influence for good a world dominated by tarnished politicians and brutal terrorists?

And, crucially, how can God's message of love and reconciliation be heard?

Nick Solly Megoran combines an acute political knowledge with a rich appreciation of the Bible and true stories of hope to demonstrate how Christians can live courageously through the war on terror.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

An excellent intelligent and thought provoking book on the current war on terrorism .The issues are so relevant and alive for Christians today that it really is a brilliant book to take as a study guide for housegroups. The author examines the various stances taken by countries and how individual groups of Christians have responded and swum against the tide to great effect. The Christian justifications for going to war are examined e.g. is there such a thing as a just war, or a holy war? The conclusions that the reader is invited to draw are inevitably to focus upon Jesus' command to love our enemies.I was disappointed that there was not a chapter on Deitrich Bonhoeffer, nevertheless a challenging and important book.
