    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

In this book we are invited to enter into the story of Lazarus and find meaning and transformation for our own lives - particularly in the times of stress and darkness when nothing seems to be happening. Each chapter begins with three or four short sentences which summarise what lies ahead. I found this surprisingly helpful, and went back to it at the end of the chapter as a way of reviewing it. This readable and profound book is full of insight and practical help in living the Christian life. Whether you have been a Christian for decades or are just beginning to follow Jesus, you will find here encouragement to let go of your past and be transformed by His risen life. I like these words from the penultimate chapter: 'In the end what each of us wants is a true story of transformation. Fiction may make us weep but truth makes us want to change. We long to know that someone out there has experienced a life-changing breakthrough because that means it might be possible for us.' I highly recommend this book.
