Russ Parker—the Director of the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation—wants us to recognise the importance of our dreams, because God may use them as ‘the doorway through which he invites us to know ourselves and also to hear his visionary challenges to our lives'.
In this reissue of a book first published in 2002, he urges us to ‘listen out for the voice of God speaking to us through visions of the night.'
Parker devotes a chapter each to 15 significant dream experiences from the Bible. These range from Jacob's dream at Bethel through to Paul's vision of a man from Macedonia.
All the chapters contain the background to the dream plus a section headed ‘Making it Personal', which indicates what we can learn from that particular dream. I find that everything Russ Parker writes is extremely constructive and helpful, and this is no exception. You might enjoy
reading Healing Dreams too.
