    I was surprised by the women mentioned in this book as initially I thought I had never heard of a couple of them and I thought I knew my Bible well but once I read the stories I thought oh of course.... ones from the old Testament whose name one had almost skipped over when one read the stories there. A reminder that none are forgotten in God's sight even a reminder to ourselves. We all have our place to acknowledge the birth of Jesus at this time of year, I really appreciated this book.

    I'm certain that these stories will be another great resource from Paula Gooder. I've read 2 (with an eye to sharing with groups). Yes, it will soon be Advent. I think that these stories will enrich my own Advent journey this year through Christmas Epiphany and Candlemas and it will be a joy to share with others. (As a midwife I was drawn to read the Christmas Day story first!)
