Just right for Lent reading

Once again Paula Gooder has written book that engages, educates and inspires those who read but have no formal theological training in their journey of faith. Ally Barrett's exquisite illustration add so much to the understanding of the text. The people in our Lent group are delighted especially as it is supported by a free podcast this providing a truly multisensory experience. Thank you

What a great read. What amazing women. Introduced to people we didn’t really know about. It gives a more rounded insight into Holy Week. Would definitely recommend. I sat & read it without putting it down, just wanted to know about them. A must read.

Very readable .Enlightening .

I have not read all the stories yet but the ones I have read give an in depth view of the context of the stories and the people who feature in them. Well worth reading and you feel as though you are there as things happen. The illustrations are striking and I find them very moving. Would like to be able to buy them individually or as a poster.

Excellent. Popular as a bible study with the questions at the back. very beautifully illustrated.

This book gently tells of the women Jesus met and imagines them during the last week of his life. It's thought provoking and gives background information which is absorbed on the way. Would be good for reading aloud to groups, especially women's groups, and leaves one seeing life from a new perspective.
