The materials are flexible to enable any parish to run a successful course that will prepare their young people for the sacrament of Confirmation. The Candidate's journal is fun and accessible and has been designed so that each of the candidates' can personalise it, scribble on it or jot down notes – it's not a school book and the intention is that they create a memento of their spiritual journey they have been on.

What makes this course special is that it uses a See-Judge-Act method, a simple approach that offers a practical catechesis for confirmation preparation, where candidates are encouraged to live out their faith:

* See: - This section always encourages the young people in the group to think about something that is going on in their lives, examining their behaviour
and their beliefs.
* Judge: - During this section the group are encouraged to use Scripture and church teaching as a guide to their lives. They can then link what
their faith says to what is going on in their lives.
* Act: - Each session features a real-life story of someone who has used their faith to guide their life. The group are then encouraged to think of personal actions, and group actions.
