I felt that an appropriate subtitle for this refreshing biography might have been ‘calling all Christians’. This book sets the standards for all: old and new Christians and all denominations from Roman Catholic to Greek Orthodox. The one vital statistic that binds all Christians together is a love of Jesus, and a vision for the future. The author Brian Houston is a vicar who was lucky enough to know that the purpose for which he was born was to spread the love of Jesus. He assures us that we are born for a cause that is greater than ourselves. We can use our individual gifts to tell others to be faithful to Christ. Remember, work or a vocation from a human perspective can seem empty, but from heaven’s perspective, full of opportunity. An important book for all who want to learn more about the all-embracing Christian cause God has in store for them.
