This is a story that needed to be told and needs to be heard. Dave Smith tells it honestly from the heart and from his ten years of experience working to help asylum seekers. The book is very accessible, but informative and challenging. Dave pulls no punches as he describes how the UK deals with those seeking asylum. Highlights for me were his poems, "Living Ghost" and "The letter" and the application of Biblical teaching when considering our society today and this issue in particular. At the end the reader is left in no doubt that our country needs to find a better way forward, and that they need to play some part in that.
