When I dipped into the material for 3 situations I’ve been having to deal with recently, namely unemployment, disability and family bereavement, I found the prayers very helpful, notably ‘Hard Times’, ‘Beatitudes for Disabled People’ and ‘Farewell’. These prayers will keep your own experience in perspective and help you pray with more understanding for others. I recommend this little book.
