The mission of The Joy Smith Foundation is to provide access to information so that every Canadian man, woman and child is educated and empowered to stay safe from manipulation, force, or abuse of power designed to lure and exploit them in the sex trade or forced labour.

Janis Cox delivers an excellent prayer guide for understanding the many facets of human trafficking and how to biblically pray for truth to set free those who are in bondage. The fight against human trafficking is won on our knees as we pray to God to set the captives free. "God, Take Action" is a call to followers of Christ everywhere to recognize the critical role Christians have in praying and working to end this modern-day slavery.

Human Trafficking lives in a world of deception. Victims are deceived into believing they will somehow have a better life. Traffickers are deceived into thinking this form of abuse is acceptable. And johns are deceived into thinking their activities do no harm. But Christ brings truth. And the deliverance of captives occurs when we pray for spiritual victory and act to free those in slavery and bring to justice those who seek to benefit from the destruction of others.

"God, Take Action" offers hope that the "word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword." Heb 4:12a

Let us be encouraged to be used of God to proclaim liberty to the captives and to recognize that prayer is the greatest weapon to attack evil and bring the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to everyone.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12
