The Lord Jesus said, ‘In the world you

will have tribulation ...’ (John 16:33,

ESV). To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

If you have not yet experienced

the truth of His words, I can guarantee

that, at some point, you most certainly

will do so. But how do we cope with

the painful and perplexing and even

paralysing providential events which

come our way? The Christian answer

is: By the all-sufficient grace of God.

The God of the Bible is a God of saving

and sustaining grace.

This book points us to the wonderful

promises and all-sufficiency of God’s

grace, as revealed in the Bible. His

grace keeps pace with whatever we

face! God’s promises may be claimed

by all His children. It is during the darker

times of our lives that the promises

of God shine out all the more brightly,

to cheer, encourage and help us

through the tribulations of this glorious,

but fallen world.
