    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

This is a clever book both in its concept and its intentions. The author, Patrick Coghlan, is well versed in the problems experienced by such people as primary school head teachers, who need to produce relevant, appealing and relevant assemblies with consistent regularity and a paucity of time in which to do so. This book does it for them. There are 26 assemblies, each based on a letter of the alphabet, each consisting of a homily in the format of a letter from or to a recognised biblical character and dealing with a situation particularly relevant to junior school aged children. A prayer follows each letter and the deliverer is further helped by being given clearly set out aims for the session, bible references, suggested visual aids and any relevant background information. This is a book to keep on the shelf in your study not to donate to the school library!
