This series of books are a great source of inspiration to any hard pressed primary school RE co-ordinator or schoolteacher needing to come up with fresh and appealing ideas for assemblies. Each book contains well thought out plans, including all the items you will need to deliver the talk, and follows the year through with Saints’ Days and other church festivals; themes appropriate to the primary school age group including such far ranging interests as football and global warming. Margaret Cooling does not “talk down” to her target audience, but challenges the children to engage in weighty matters which are presented at their experiential level.
