Christmas is amazing! No sooner has one Christmas finished than we're searching through the January sales trying to find presents for the next one, and of course, all those cards at half-price! The same thing happens every year, but every year we get excited and can't wait to see what our presents are going to be.

Christmas is a time to remember Christ and what he was born to accomplish. He himself was the one present that humankind had been waiting for but were unsure of what to make of this rather unconventional gift.

Each of the 16 units is divided into six sections:

• Christmas list: an introduction to the Bible reading and main theme.
• Waking up to Christmas: an idea for activities which may help bring the theme into focus.
• Christmas stocking: a link to the teaching, using some ideas for worship.
• Unwrapping the presents: the main teaching bit with some ideas and guidelines for sharing.
• Christmas crackers: some more ideas for discussion and thought.
• Christmas pudding: some suggestions for reflection and prayer.

Under the Tree gives us the oppor­tunity to look at what Christmas is all about and 'unwrap' some of the things that God wants us to enjoy. So, take a look under the tree and have fun.
