Livermore offers a great guide to international kingdom adventures. In the face of well-meaning, but culturally unaware believers causing havoc during their brief travels, this book will help greatly. This solid new title is orientated towards healthy capacity for positive legacy in local travels. Theology, training, insight and practicalities are well woven in painting the scale and substance of what is needed to engage in meaningful short-term missions. This is a robust medium entry title, for leaders or mission agencies to make good use of. Part three on cultural intelligence is arguably the strongest. There is an undeniable American lens to much of this but it's unique voice to challenges is needed. It is challenging and unsettling in terms of measuring the impact of the human life. Livermore's residual take-away message for me was, "Go with humility and observe before you presume to speak!" Godly counsel for any context.
