Gordon Jeff has been involved in the area of spiritual direction for many years yet with his huge experience he writes in a straightforward and accessible way. He gives insights for the individual who is uncertain as to what spiritual direction is all about, how helpful it can be, the nature of the on-going relationship with the director and the difference between spiritual direction and counselling. He also encourages and suggests how people can be trained to become spiritual directors themselves giving practical suggestions, interesting questions and discussion thoughts for potential directees to consider about the nature of their own particular journey. All in all – a worthwhile book about a topic which is assuming greater significance amongst Christians today.
