It is the authors' firm belief that children are as much a part of the Church as adults; with Pearl Divers children have their own Living Water teaching programme based on the Lectionary Readings for Year C. Each week's teaching is closely linked to the ideas developed in the Mass but is tailor-made to stimulate the minds and imaginations of 6-10 year olds.

Starters, teaching ideas, prayers and activities are reinforced by worksheets for every Sunday drawn by Fred Chevalier. These may be photocopied without copyright infringement so long as they are used for non-commercial purposes. Each worksheet includes practical activities, puzzles, prayers and ideas through which children can explore their developing faith.
