After 'Practical Information' about how to get there, where to stay and how to access other local information, The Story of Walsingham is told, followed by descriptions of the Catholic and Anglican Shrines and other churches. Finally, there is a selection of prayers suitable for pilgrims visiting the Shrines or for use at home or elsewhere. Vespers of Our Lady of Walsingham, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Stations of the Cross and the Rosary with suitable meditation points are also included. Finally, there is a selection of (mainly) Eucharistic and Marian hymns. There are clear maps and plans, as well as attractive illustrations throughout. The visitor to Walsingham, whether or not a 'pilgrim', will find this a very useful guide, and it deserves to be a 'best seller'. A lower price would help the publisher to achieve this aim.
