    Product Description

When historians adhere to a Christian worldview, should that worldview have an influence on their understanding of the history they write about? Yet, it is not possible to achieve a "neutral" historiography, since every historian brings to the study of words and deeds of the past a certain framework as to what kinds of meaning are possible. This collection of studies by eminent Catholic historians moves this discussion to a new level.

Comprehensive overview of Catholic interpretations of history

This is an interesting, well documented collection of essays by different authors on a variety of issues concerning how history has been, and is, interpreted in the light of the Christian Faith. Its contents bear upon a wide range of questions concerning Modernity, technology, sacramentalisation, and secularity. Highly recommended.
