The wedding photographer with the scoop of all time; the crazy man in charge of the ‘floaty boaty thing’ that saved humanity and the entire animal kingdom; the French chef at the centre of a murder-mystery investigation and much, much more besides.

When Chris Govus and Andy Griffiths get hold of a biblical event they use a pleasing collection of quirky characters to deliver a sideways-on interpretation of the story.

But having grabbed the congregation’s attention with one of these sketches, you’ll find there’s enough factual info on which to hang a short talk or a sermon.

    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Some short and very pithy dramas which capture the imagination as well as teaching some very useful lessons, these small set pieces scripted for two or more people are humorous as well as providing a serious message. The authors warn that the audience needs to understand the humour in the dramas as this is an integral part of the set up; they grab the attention of the audience in no uncertain way. The factual information is enough on which to hang a short talk or sermon and whilst delivering a sideways-on interpretation in a sometimes quirky way, they are still interesting enough to keep the attention of the congregation and spread the message very effectively. Drama is a very powerful form of communication and needs to be used with good effect by those who are delivering. This book allows those less talented in the field to produce something really worthwhile.
