The Together for a Season series helps church leaders use the Common Worship seasonal liturgy in an all-age context, and is an ideal companion to Common Worship: Festivals and Times and Seasons. It includes:

Remembrance: material for All Souls, All Saints and Remembrance Sunday.
Following God?s call: material for feasts and festivals, including the Blessed Virgin Mary, The Four Evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), The Conversion of Paul, The Birth of John the Baptist, Mary Magdalene, the Transfiguration and St Michael and All Angels.

This book works. The prepared services will be very useful to those whose time is pressured, but who wish to enhance worship. However, the warning in the book should be heeded, that these are not services to look up in a panic on Saturday night as there is some preparation required. This is not too arduous, is clearly described and most importantly can be shared: this is collaborative ministry at work. The materials offered can also be used by those who wish to create their own services, which will be a boon for those church communities which celebrate the saints and seasons of the church’s year. The material will be equally valuable for those searching for suitable prayers for different occasions. (And I am very pleased to see Joseph of Nazareth celebrated in a way which makes a special service for carers)
