Feel burned out by leadership?
Wayne Cordeiro shares stories and thoughts to help you look after yourself
You'll soon discover how a fruitful ministry grows from a healthy leader
Wayne Cordeiro was due to speak to at a leadership conference when he decided to go out for a jog before it started. All of a sudden Wayne realised he was sitting on the side of a curb weeping uncontrollably. He couldn't tell how long he had been there; if it took place suddenly or gradually, but what he did know was something inside him had broken. Wayne lifted up his trembling hands and asked out loud, "What in the world is happening to me?"
Wayne had been leading on empty.
That incident changed Wayne's life dramatically over the next three years. He began a journey through a season of burnout and re-calibration that would radically change his lifestyle, values, goals, and even adjust his calling.
If you're a church leader, you might be able to understand exactly how Wayne felt? Overwhelmed by the demands of ministry? Depleted of energy? And a longing to escape the constant pressure?
Leading On Empty tells of Wayne's Cordeiro experiences, as he shares his stories he hopes to encourage others headed down the same path. If he was able to restore the balance and get back in touch with his life through God reenergizing his spirit, then so can you. Wayne Corderio encourage readers to learn his experiences, so that you can continue a fruitful ministry. Wayne also includes helpful advice on how to recognise the signs of a burnout and how to avoid them.
