    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

Revised and updated version of Prayers for People in Prison. The author is the Chaplain General of Prisons and is also chaplain to the Queen. The book gives a rare and informative insight into the prison world. There is no sentimentality in Noblett’s approach. He does not take the side of the prisoner against the victim. Their sins are recognised but he sees their potential for repentance and reconciliation. The bulk of the book is devoted to prisoners’ own individual stories and real situations which are examined and commented upon along with prayers and appropriate biblical texts. This is not only a resource book for prison chaplains and for those who visit prisoners, but will be of great interest to all who care about our prison system. It is both disturbing and uplifting.
