This is a wonderful book of short prayers, and whilst 'All Occasions' might be an exaggeration there are many useful additions to the general church year prayers which are more commonly published. There is for example a nice prayer for before a meeting, another for before a concert, as well prayers for such moments as the start and end of the school year, harvest, Mothers Day and so on. There are also some for significant moments in pastoral care; betrayal, divorce, expecting a baby, blessing a home. It includes rather more whimsical prayers, for chocolate, beer, and April Fools Day for example. The prayers themselves are a good balance of liturgical and everyday language and wouldn't feel out of place in a Church service or in an informal setting. All in all one of the most useful collections of prayers I have come across.
