There’s no denying the invaluable contribution that grandparents make to families and society as a whole. A quarter of churchgoers are grandparents and they form the nucleus of many churches – but this contribution can all too easily be taken for granted.

Celebrating Grandparents provides an informal act of worship to celebrate the part grandparents play in family and Church life, while at the same time stimulating reflection on Christian faith and discipleship. It contains five fully worked-out services, each of which includes introductions, prayers, dialogues, poems, quotations and family talks alongside suggestions for hymns and readings.
