Another resource from the Creative Ideas range produced by Canterbury Press that tie into all three Lectionary years of seasons and feasts; events such as Christmas, Lent, Harvest, Mothering Sunday etc. This is a set of monologues and drama scripts that cover the festivals and seasonal specials in creative and dramatised ways. Some of the monologues are set up as letters, others as stories, contemplations or meditations – but all with interest and keen insight that just may wake up a Sunday congregation and get them thinking. The Drama’s in them are short but well drawn and involve only a couple of people or voices. Again, just right for livening up a service and getting the point across in an interesting way. To my mind another excellent resource that helps to make arranging a service easier to do – especially an all age service, though these could be used for any service, and indeed could even be tweaked for use at other times.
