For the First Time in English, a Foundational Work of One of the Church's Most Important Theologians

As some point in life, we all wonder: Who am I? What is the world, and what is my place within it? Only Christianity offers answers to these questions in a way that meets our truest needs and satisfies our deepest longings.

In this important book, translated into English for the first time, Herman Bavinck provides a framework for understanding why the Christian worldview is the only solution to the discord we feel between ourselves, the world, and God.

This is a brilliant book, packed with lots of big ideas and reflections on academic culture and society as it was in Bavinck's day, and the way in which a Christian worldview offers a fuller alternative to the philosophies of his day. It's worth reading as this academic thought as impacted the way many people think and act today, and it is worth knowing in detail how the idea that "all truth is God's truth" plays out The translation is very literal and sometimes gives words in their original language in brackrts, which can often make reading a slow process but ensures it is accurate to the original. Eden were offering a great price when I bought this, and delivery was prompt.
