Nurses by the nature of the work they do spend substantial portion of their time in deep personal involvement with their patients. They deal with persons who have severe psychological, physiological, emotional, and social problems. They are frequently involved in intimate interactions with patients who are charged with intense emotions of anger, embarrassment fear, or despair, because they work in high stress environment.
