An exacting read and not for the faint-hearted – I do not pretend to have understood every word of it – but worth persevering with and perhaps a good present for the unrelenting Darwinist or the stubborn Nihilist. The author is a professor both in Theology and Philosophy, but limits his inclusion of the Bible to the final few pages. If you are fascinated by such things as the fundamental nature of reality, thought and human existence, then this is a solid grounding in the subject presented from a reassuringly firm foundation.
