This book provides the first comprehensive analysis of the stages of development of “The Gospel of Thomas”. Unlike most other translations, this one takes into account the Greek fragments and the Coptic text. A unique feature of this book is that translations to the parallels of the Gospel are also included. The commentary is saying-by-saying. As part of the new Early Christianity in Context series, it will be important to researchers and students in the following different fields: biblical studies, patristics, Jewish Studies, classics and ancient history.
