    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

In a foreword Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, gives this book by James Alison high praise, declaring that it is the best book he has read on the theology of redemption. Throughout the book Alison asks the question - do you really know Jesus? - and then he presents to us a fresh and challenging meaning of the resurrection. His arguments are at times controversial but always illuminating. He shows how the crucified and risen Jesus made himself known to his disciples and through their witness to us. His style is deceptively easy and conversational in which he considers afresh assumptions which we too easily take for granted. The reader in the end is brought a little closer to knowing Jesus.
