To speak of the Christian life is to talk about the character of redeemed human existence, how the divine purpose takes shape and fulfils itself in creatures. A theology of the Christian life seeks, then, to give an orderly account of the character of life under the determination of God's grace. As an edited volume 'towards' a theology of the Christian life, this book will contribute to a specifically theological, dogmatic interpretation of the Christian life according to the nature of God's grace, situating it within the economy of salvation. There is a need for a graduate level theology text on the Christian life. By addressing the twofold evangelical interest in the Christian life and doctrine, this text focuses on engaging doctrine with the life of the believer in mind.
