    The Good Book Stall

    Average rating of0.0

The mark of great writing is that it stands the test of time and remains relevant over time without going out of date. When opening this book it is hard to realise that it was written in 1978. It is also interesting to see how the tenets of Wright’s faith have palpably remained consistent over this time and the reader is able to grasp practical advice and application that were originally designed for students in the author’s early years but still applicable today to any serious disciple. Intentionally a slim volume, and written in easily accessible language this book is divided into 3 sections : Faith in a Great God; Faith to Live and Love and Faith to Walk in the Dark containing short chapters with catchy titles which can stand alone on their own but together seem to be so much more and provide a mine of nuggets that can be referred back to again and again. Based on sound Biblical doctrine, infused with relevant topical insight and taught in an easily graspable way this is a valuable book that is a joy to read and it will make an excellent tool to anyone who wants to add to their understanding of a living, meaningful and relevant faith. Reprinted after 33 years, SPCK would do well not to let this title go out of print again.
